INFO: Frame Reinforcer

A Kickstop Frame Reinforcer is used to reinforce and strengthen a wooden door frame around a rim lock staple, a mortice lock striking plate and the hinges.

Fitting locks involves removing wood and this in turn, will weaken the frame.  The Kickstop door frame reinforcing plates and bars are bolted together through the door or screwed to the internal face of the frame - to resist a 'kick-in' attack and forced entry and so help avoid a burglary.
